Course Overview

Providing knowledge on Sports Science and its practical applications to training and conditioning. This course provides key information for those who wish to learn how to utilize the concepts of exercise science to enhance training/ coaching. This serves as a strong foundation for those who wish to take further courses in strength & conditioning as well as coaching.

Anyone!  Our programmes are designed in such a way that would be applicable to all learners, from sports enthusiasts, who are interested in learning more about sports and exercise science, to professional sports trainers / coaches

 

Course Content

Unit 1: Structure and Function of the Muscular, Neuromuscular, Cardiovascular and Respiratory Systems

This unit will give the learners the knowledge of the structure and function of the 4 systems in human body.

 

Unit 2: Bioenergetics of Exercise and Training

This unit will give the learners the knowledge of how bioenergetics works during exercise and training. 

 

Unit 3: Endocrine Responses to Resistance Exercise

This unit will give the learners the knowledge of how resistance training responses of selected hormones related to acute stress and growth promoting actions.

 

Unit 4: Biomechanics of Resistance Exercise

This unit will give the learners the knowledge of biomechanical terms and apply to exercise.

 

Unit 5: Adaptations to Anaerobic Training Programs

This unit will give the learners the knowledge of how human body responses to high intensity trainings.

 

Unit 6: Adaptations to Aerobic Endurance Training Programs

This unit will give the learners the knowledge of how the body responses to aerobic endurance exercises.

 

Unit 7: Age and Sex Related Differences and their Implications for Resistance Exercise

This unit will give the learners the knowledge of the differences between age and sex and implications for resistance exercises.

 

Unit 8: Psychology of Athletic Preparation and Performance

This unit will give the learners the knowledge of how psychology will affect athletic preparation and performance.

 

Unit 9: Performance Enhancing Substances

This unit will give the learners the knowledge of what is performance enhancing substances how will it affect the human body.

 

Unit 10: Nutritional Factors in Health and Performances

This unit will give the learners the knowledge of what is nutrition and how is it important to us.
