ISA CERTIFICATE IN EXERCISE PRESCRIPTION FOR SPECIAL POPULATIONS (YOUTH, ELDERLY & PREGNANT)

Physical activity is important in youths, elderly and pregnant women to promote health and fitness. The ISA Certificate in Exercise Prescription for Special Populations (Youth, Elderly & Pregnant) will prepare participants with the exercise guidelines and recommendations for the respective populations. Special considerations during training will also be covered. The exercise guidelines and recommendations taught in this workshop will be presented using the frequency, intensity, time, and type (FITT) principle, which are core components of an exercise prescription.

Metabolic syndrome identifies people with an increased risk of developing cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes mellitus. Lifestyle intervention such as incorporating physical activity has shown to reduce the risk of developing cardiovascular disease.  The ISA Certificate in Exercise Prescription for Special Populations (Metabolic & Cardiovascular Disease) will prepare participants with the exercise prescription guidelines and recommendations using the frequency, intensity, time, and type (FITT) principle, which are core components of an exercise prescription.

COORDINATING THE IMPLEMENTATION OF COVID-19 SAFE MANAGEMENT MEASURES PLAN (SMMP)

FOR SAFE MANAGEMENT OFFICER IN SPORTS ENTERPRISES

As Singapore is now getting used to living in a post COVID-19 world, the role of Safe Management Officers in all workplaces is more critical than ever.  Apart from meeting regulatory requirements, all businesses must also learn how to mitigate all health and safety risks associated with operating in a post COVID-19 environment and put in place the necessary monitoring system for the workplace.  Together with our partner from Singapore Institution of Safety Office, this course will provide all SMOs working in a sports enterprise the knowledge to manage the risk in a sports business. Safe Management Officers (SMO) duties include (but not limited to) keeping records of inspections and checks conducted and corrective actions taken. The records shall be made available upon request by a Government inspector. Upon completion, the participants will be able to understand the relevant roles and responsibilities expected of a Safe Management Officer in Sports Enterprises. Participants will also learn how to implement a monitoring plan to follow compliances with Safe Management Measurements within their respective workplace in the context of a Sports Business.
