Each and every student is equally significant and important to us.  As such, the Academy will constantly strive to provide the necessary support to each and every student, so as to ensure that all our student's needs, are suitably looked after and taken care of.

Transfer and Withdrawal Policy

ISA has a fair and reasonable transfer and/or withdrawal policy.

  • Transfer means a student changes the course of study but remains as a student of ISA.

  • Withdrawal means the student contract is terminated and the student is no longer a student of ISA.

Transfer Policy

Transfer of course is defined as the student transferring to a different course within the Academy.

 

Request for transfer of course must be made in writing. A written notice of transfer of course (via Transfer / Withdrawal Form) must be delivered to the Manager, Student Administration & Operations. The Manager, Student Administration & Operations shall compute the fees / payment details on the withdrawal forms with supporting documents (if any) and submit to the Chief Executive Officer within 1 working day for approval.

 

The Academy shall, within 3 working days of receipt of the Transfer / Withdrawal Form, arrange a counselling session with the Executive, Academic & Programme Management, unless deemed not applicable by the Academy. Executive, Academic & Programme Management conducts a counselling session with the student to ascertain the reasons for the course transfer application.

 

For students under 18 years of age, the Academy shall seek parental / legal guardian approval prior to processing the request for transfer of course.

 

Students must clear any outstanding fees payable to the Academy before the transfer of course is processed.

 

Once the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer has approved the student’s application for course transfer, the forms (and the old contract shall be terminated) and respective documents shall be forwarded to the Manager, Student Administration & Operations. Chief Executive Officer shall commence with the Selection Process  to assess the eligibility of the student entering the new course.

 

Upon completion of counselling and/or obtaining parental / legal guardian approval (where applicable), ISA shall assess the request and the Manager, Student Administration & Operations shall advice the student on the final outcome within a reasonable time frame of not more than 4 weeks by issuing a formal letter, and completes the Admission process.

 

Upon acceptance of the transfer, the student will be offered a new contract (and this is in line with the change in study period).

 

Refunds (if any) will be processed within 7 working days from the student’s request for withdrawal (excludes time taken for postal services or external processing by banks).

 

Manager, Student Administration & Operations files the forms and documents into the student’s P-file, and updates the Student Registry accordingly.

 

Applications for course transfer within the Academyare granted on a case-by-case basis subject to the student meeting the student selection requirement of the new programme and approval from the University where applicable.

 

International Students

For international students, the Academy will inform ICA of the course transfer within 3 working days.

 

For international students, course transfer is subject to the approval by the ICA. Students are to note that should the application be rejected for whatever reasons, students may not be able to continue their studies in Singapore.

 

The FPS service provider and medical insurance provider will be updated within 3 working days from the date of letter of approval sent that the student is transferring to another course within the Academy .

Withdrawal Policy

Withdrawal is defined as the student contract being terminated, and the student is no longer a student of the Academy. Transferring to another institution of study is also deemed as a withdrawal from the Academy.

 

Request for programme withdrawal must be made in writing. A written notice of withdrawal from the programme (via Transfer / Withdrawal Form) must be delivered to the Manager, Student Administration & Operations. The Manager, Student Administration & Operations shall compute the fees / payment details on the withdrawal forms with supporting documents (if any) and submit to the Chief Executive Officer within 3 working day for approval.
